Minster Law has once again been recognised as a leading people‑centred organisation after securing Platinum accreditation from Investors in People (IIP) for the third consecutive assessment cycle.
The business first achieved Platinum status in 2020 – on its initial assessment – and has now held the prestigious accreditation for six consecutive years, with the latest reaccreditation extending its Platinum standing for a further three years. Platinum is the highest tier awarded by IIP and is held by only 9% of accredited organisations worldwide, reflecting exceptionally high standards in leadership, culture, and colleague experience.
Investors in People praised Minster Law for sustaining a strong, people‑centred culture and its long‑term commitment to continuous improvement. Despite periods of growth, change and external pressures, colleague engagement has strengthened, and the firm continues to perform strongly compared with the wider legal sector.
The assessment also highlighted Minster Law’s purpose‑led culture, with colleagues describing the organisation’s shared purpose of creating outcomes that matter as a “golden thread” running through the business. Values are not only well understood but are clearly lived in day‑to‑day decisions and behaviours, creating strong pride in what the organisation stands for and how teams work together.
Trust and confidence in our leadership remains a real strength of the organisation and continues to grow. The assessors noted a clear focus on openness, strong relationships and consistently doing the right thing – qualities that have helped build leadership capability at every level of the business.
Minster Law was also recognised as a learning and coaching organisation, offering well‑regarded development programmes. A strong coaching model ensures colleagues feel supported in demanding roles, with opportunities designed to balance performance, wellbeing and long‑term growth.
Finally, the business was commended for its genuine commitment to the colleague voice. Feedback actively shapes decision‑making and the delivery of change, supported by a continued focus on empowerment and consistent cultural touchpoints. Investors in People noted the organisation’s clear intent to maintain the unique culture that defines Minster Law as the business continues to expand.
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Minster Law. Platinum accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Minster Law in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
Achieving Platinum Investors in People accreditation for the third consecutive cycle is something we’re proud of, not because of the badge, but because of what it says about our culture.
Over the last few years, Minster Law has grown quickly, navigated regulatory change and operated in a demanding external environment. Through it all, our colleagues have stayed engaged, resilient and committed to finding a way together.
The assessment confirmed what colleagues tell us every day: we have a strong, people-centred culture, trusted leadership and a clear sense of purpose that genuinely connects people to their work.
But Platinum isn’t a finish line.
Our focus now is on growing well. That means embedding our culture consistently as we scale – not just at onboarding, but throughout a colleague’s journey. It means investing in strong leadership, supporting and developing our colleagues to be their best and creating more space for people to influence decisions locally and feel trusted, even when work is busy.
Platinum accreditation gives us confidence in our foundations. The work ahead is about momentum, not maintenance. – Shirley Woolham, CEO of Minster Law.
