Victoria Claridge

Senior Serious Injury File Handler
Background

I secured a training contract at a high street practice in Lincoln, gaining experience in childcare, family law, conveyancing and personal injury. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2009, working exclusively in Personal Injury for injured clients. I started at Minster Law in September 2013.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

I am passionate about securing my clients early rehabilitation. It is imperative that the client and their families have access to the right level of support and guidance from a rehabilitative as well as a legal perspective, often at a time when they are at their most vulnerable. Having worked on many high value claims I have been fortunate to be part of a number of client’s rehabilitative journeys and to watch the progress that they make. I enjoy working with clients and their families through to the settlement of their claims, which in some cases can take a number of years. My team prides itself on ensuring our clients receive the best possible outcome. I believe when dealing with personal injury litigation it is important to think outside of the box, no two cases are the same. It is important to really understand your client and the life they led/intended to lead prior to the accident and the one that they would like to lead now. It is extremely rewarding when a settlement is reached that allows a client to enjoy their life despite often being left with lifelong serious disabilities. For example, hearing that a client has been able to return to a form of motorbiking, when it has been a lifelong passion, despite the loss of a limb after securing funds for an adapted motorcycle provides a real sense of satisfaction.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

I like to run and go to the gym, when I can but I spend most of my spare time with my young family.
