Background
I have worked in serious injury since 2007. I am experienced in guiding my clients through complex litigation, during one of the most vulnerable and terrifying times of their lives.
My ethos centres around working closely with you to properly understand what has happened to you, your needs and wishes, and to deliver the outcomes that work for you and your family. Rehabilitation is key to maximising independence and restoring quality of life and is a consistent priority.
My job is to listen, guide, support and to provide you with clear and accessible legal advice. I’m experienced in obtaining early interim payments, which allow multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes to be set up, and then to work alongside the rehab teams to best support you as the litigation unfolds.
I am known for my excellent client care and ability to build relationships with my clients and their families. One of my recent settlements involved a case which was very difficult on liability. However, we still managed to achieve a multi-million-pound settlement for our client, who was very seriously injured, and lacked mental capacity as a result of their traumatic brain injury, requiring long-term care support.
I am accredited by APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) as a Senior Litigator, a Spinal Cord Injury Specialist and a Brain Injury Specialist.
Case Experience
Stacy represented Steve, a 57-year-old man who sustained a partial traumatic amputation of his right leg below the knee after his Vespa scooter was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Working collaboratively with Steve’s case manager, Stacy secured an early admission of liability, agreed interim payments to meet his immediate needs, and ensured he had access to high-quality rehabilitation throughout his two-year claim. A bespoke prosthetics package was funded, giving Steve specialist limbs for everyday use, dancing, refereeing rugby, and swimming. His home was fully adapted to meet his new needs. Steve and his wife went on a month-long honeymoon cruise to Australia and New Zealand following settlement, and Steve has returned to the activities and travel that matter most to him.
