I began my law career in 1997 with a small private practice, having previously worked in the personal injury claims department of a major insurance company. I therefore have an insight into how insurers deal with claims and the tactics they employ, which has proved useful in negotiating the best outcomes for my clients.

I have been with Minster Law since 2012 and have since built upon my expertise in personal injury law, and now help clients who have suffered in all kinds of serious accidents, including road traffic collisions involving motorcyclists and pedestrians, slips and trips, and accidents at work.

My broad experience in these areas means that upon receiving a new claim I can immediately begin to assess the way forward, including identifying any potential problems that may arise, and offer you advice and reassurance. This is because sometimes getting an admission of blame is not straightforward.

1. William assisted a client who suffered an ankle injury when stepping onto uneven ground at an organised event. After proceedings were issued against two defendants who had both denied liability, a settlement of £23,000 was reached.
2. William secured damages over £35,000 for a client who suffered a number of injuries and loss of income after his motorcycle was negligently serviced.
3. William secured an admission of liability for a client who tripped and fell outside an office block, on land sitting on the boundary between a local authority and a building owner. After an initial denial from the local authority, William carried out extensive research and worked through a complex chain of correspondence involving the building’s tenants and management company — ultimately securing a full admission of liability from the building’s owners, who were based in Luxembourg.
