Liz Whitehead

Associate
Background
I have over 30 years’ experience dealing with personal injury claims. I have a passion for helping clients wherever I can as I find this very rewarding when I can see the difference I have made, no matter how small. Overall, I largely deal with road traffic accident claims, the majority of which are for motorcycle accidents. I love building trusted relationships with my clients and guiding them through what is often the toughest time in their lives.

I understand that for those people who suffer from a serious injury, this can be life-changing, and I try to carry some of the burden for them in the early days as litigation can be overwhelming for many people. I’ll always communicate using simple language rather than legal jargon to make this easier to understand.

I really enjoy going out to see clients in their home environment, which helps to understand their family dynamic and how this has been affected by the injury as I appreciate that a serious injury can also deeply affect the lives of those who are close to them.

I build strong relationships with medical experts, case managers, barristers and opponents as I believe that working collaboratively makes the journey easier for my clients.

I have dealt with many types of injury claims including orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, amputations, head injuries, fatal accidents and psychiatric injuries. I strongly believe that getting the best rehab as early as possible results in the best outcome for my clients and enables them to make the best recovery and move on with their lives and I ensure that this is put in place for every client as soon as possible. I will also request interim payments to assist clients who are in financial difficulty as a result of not being able to work so that they can focus on their recovery rather than their worries.
Case Experience

Liz secured a settlement in excess of £750,000 for an amputee client following a life-changing injury that profoundly affected his independence and future plans. Facing the physical and emotional challenges of losing the fingers on his dominant hand, he required extensive rehabilitation and long-term support to rebuild his life. Liz worked to secure a package that provided specialist rehabilitation and ongoing care, alongside funding for advanced prosthetics. The settlement also accounted for future prosthetic needs and the wider impact on his ability to work and maintain independence. Through this outcome, Liz ensured her client has the financial security and resources needed to move forward with confidence and regain control over his future.
