Background
I am an Associate Solicitor with over 25 years’ experience supporting people who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries. I am based in the Midlands, but I travel to meet clients and their families wherever is most convenient for them. This might be their home but it is often in hospital or a rehabilitation setting, because the sooner we get involved, the sooner we can start trying to lighten the load.
I understand that after a serious injury, the legal process can feel overwhelming. My priority is to make things as straightforward and manageable as possible. I take the time to listen, explain each step clearly, and handle the complexities on your behalf so you can focus on your recovery and rebuilding your life.
I specialise in high-value, complex claims involving traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, polytrauma and serious orthopaedic injuries, including amputation. From the outset, I do work to secure early rehabilitation and financial support, doing everything possible to ensure that my clients have access to the care, therapies and resources they need at the earliest opportunity.
Building strong, supportive relationships is at the heart of my approach. I work closely not only with my clients but also with their families, case managers and medical professionals. Before I decided on a legal career, I studied Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Birmingham and that background means that I have a particular interest in understanding the neurological and psychological impact of injury and ensuring the right medical experts are involved to support each case.
My work is also shaped by personal experience. Following a close family member’s brain injury, I have first-hand insight into the challenges individuals and families face in the aftermath of life-changing injury. This led me to become a trustee of Headway Birmingham & Solihull, which proudly supports people in my local area who are living with acquired brain injury and their families.
Clients often tell me they value my down-to-earth, approachable manner and the reassurance of having a dedicated, supportive team alongside them throughout their claim. My aim is always the same: to secure the best possible outcome and help my clients have the resources they need to get their lives back on track and move forward with confidence. Seeing that happen makes all the hard work worthwhile and is why I do, what I do.
