Jacob Underwood

Serious Injury File Handler
Background

I have worked in Personal Injury for over 12 years mostly representing vulnerable road users such as motorcyclists, cyclists, and pedestrians. These cases, due to the nature of the injuries and liability involved, are usually more severe and require expert handling and attention to detail. Prior to coming to Minster Law, I helped to set up and worked for National Accident Law as a senior litigator, and prior to that I worked for one of the UK’s largest motorcycle insurers.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

My passion is getting the best outcome for my clients at every stage of their claim; whether this is an early payment to support them financially, the right treatment to get them back on their feet, or ultimately the final settlement they deserve. I particularly enjoy overcoming disputed cases and achieving a favourable outcome for the client.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

Outside of work I am a keen runner (I have completed several 10k and half/full marathons) and try to do ParkRun every week as well. I am married, with a 1-year-old son and a sausage dog! I also love live music, gigs and travel (before I had kids anyway!)
