Background
I have worked in personal injury for over 20 years, representing both Claimants and Defendants; and for most of that time, within the area of catastrophic/serious injury. My expertise and specialisms are: • Psychiatric injury (stress at work, bully and harassment, primary and secondary victims) • Pain disorders • Subtle brain injury • Neurological functional disorder • Serious orthopaedic injury / polytrauma • Complex/strategic litigation (County Court and High Court) • fundamental dishonesty • Claims arising from RTA, EL, PL, OL, and industrial disease. My current caseload mostly compromises of claims valued over £250,000.00 +. Where possible, I seek agreement at the outset for my client’s claims to be dealt with under the serious injury guide, and rehabilitation code 2015; and attempt a collaborative approach with my counterpart.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
I believe I am privileged to work for catastrophically/seriously injured clients and believe a personal touch is essential; and that my client should be put at the centre of the process. As a matter of course, I visit my clients (most of which are vulnerable individuals) and their families as early as possible, so that I fully appreciate the complexities and sensitive issues in play, and so that a bespoke case strategy can be agreed, then implemented.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy participating in charity work and giving back to those less fortunate than myself. I also enjoy travelling and playing golf, having formerly played professionally.
“I have very much enjoyed working with Andrew over the last few years. He approaches litigation in a pragmatic and professional way. Andrew is always over all of the detail in any particular case and has a wealth of knowledge and experience handling complex PI claims. Clients always feel like Andrew has their backs”
