John Cuss, a Solicitor in our Serious Injury team is delighted to have accepted a position on the Law Society Civil Litigation Section Committee. This is an amazing achievement considering John only qualified in 2017 and in this short time he has developed a name in the industry for providing critical insight into digital transformation and regulatory reform. John regularly provides commentary on technical case law developments, changes to the civil procedure rules and broader industry impacting issues. He also frequently produces online articles, assessing the effects of changes on both the legal and insurance sectors.

John is a member of Minster Law’s Horizon Scanning Team, which consists of a small group of subject matter experts who produce monthly report on a range of legal changes and industry developments. John is our subject matter expert for the Online Court Pilots and the digital transformation of the courts. Through this, John produces insight reports, which provide crucial technical know-how to his colleagues following case law and civil procedure rule changes.

John’s commitment in these developments is what has enabled him to join the Law Society Civil Litigation Section Committee. The committee is dedicated to promoting the area of civil litigation as well as supporting civil litigators and ADR professionals. To achieve this the section committee produces a programme of events, education and support to promote best practice, facilitate discussions and networking and influence changes to law and procedure.
