The different court tracks for personal injury cases which are broadly dependent on claim value.

OIC Portal/Small Claims = up to £5,000 for injury compensation and £10,000 for overall claim value

Fast Track = £5,000 – £25,000

Intermediate Track = £25,000 – £100,000

Multi Track = £100,000 +

According to the small claims protocol whiplash is “an injury or injuries of soft tissue in the neck, back or shoulder suffered because of driver negligence”
