What you’ll be working on 

As an associate, you will handle a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims for our clients and provide valuable mentoring support to colleagues within the team. The caseload is predominantly road traffic accident based, ranging from £150k – £5m, and involves cases with complex technical issues and quantum.

Your day-to-day 
  • Delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life changing event, on your individual cases and overseeing the team.
  • Motivate and lead colleagues, ensuring the team can work to their best with clear objectives and development plans.
  • Instructions and meetings with a multi-disciplinary team of experts. You’ll be working with medical experts, case managers, care experts, architects, forensic accountants, counsel.
  • Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation, and quantum.
  • Drafting documents including statements, pleadings, schedules of loss.
  • Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.
  • Optimising your client’s settlement.
You should apply if 
  • You’re a qualified solicitor or Fellow of CILEx with demonstratable post-qualification experience or can demonstrate equivalent experience to charge and recovery Grade A rates.
  • You’re an experienced litigator with strong technical ability and practical knowledge of the court procedures.
  • Your excellent communication skills include negotiation and objection handling.
  • You can champion our values, purpose, and ambition and support Minster Law’s high standards of client care.
  • You can work with case management systems and have good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • You have good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
