Minster Law

We’re delighted to announce plans to extend our jurisdictional capability with the launch of sister-company Glasgow-based Minster Law Scotland.

As a leading insurance legal services firm, our unrivalled service culture and capability is driven by meeting and anticipating customer needs, underpinned by our proven expertise in personal injury and our scale and commitment to investment.

Marina Harper has been appointed as Executive Director of the new Scottish business. Marina brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, with over 17 years of experience in personal injury law exclusively in the Scottish market, alongside a deep understanding of the regulatory environment.

Marina Harper, Executive Director of Minster Law Scotland

Speaking about her appointment, Harper commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Minster Law Scotland and heading up this new Scottish business. Minster is recognised as one of the most contemporary, forward-thinking PI law firms in the UK market. To be at the forefront of bringing their outcome-driven approach to Scottish customers and supporting some of the most prestigious brands in the motor insurance market was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.”

Minster Law Scotland will operate out of new offices located in the centre of Glasgow. Harper added: “Glasgow has a well-established legal services sector, which is crucial to ensuring we build a team made up of the very best talent in the market. It also operates as a vibrant hub for many major UK insurers and brokers – so it’s the ideal location from which to serve the needs of both our customers and business partners.”

Speaking about the company’s plans for Minster Law Scotland, Shirley Woolham, CEO of Minster Law said: “We’re a business that prides itself on listening to the needs of our customer and business partners. The decision to create a Scottish operation has been made in direct response to those needs and I’m delighted the business has been able to attract someone of the calibre of Marina.

Our new Scottish capability will bring an additional and important dimension to our market proposition for UK insurers, brokers, and MGAs and further demonstrates our commitment to the insurance-led RTA personal injury market. What the new business will offer is a cohesive approach to how Minster provides legal services, maintaining the values and ethos that underpin our business, define our market position, and drive our continued success.”
