To assess and support your accident-related injuries you will be required to attend a medical examination. The medical examination will be conducted by an independent medical expert. The medical expert is not instructed to provide treatment or prescribe medication. If you require further treatment, please contact your own GP for medical advice.
It is important that you tell the medical expert about all the injuries you sustained as a result of the accident, including any injuries that you have already recovered from. Additionally, you should advise on any injuries that have developed since your original instruction to us including their onset period. You should also advise of the expert of any pre-existing medical conditions/injuries or previous accident accidents.
The length of your appointment will be dependant upon the type of expert you are referred to. In most cases that appointment will last around 10 minutes. The expert may ask you to complete a questionnaire prior to your appointment to assist them during the appointment, in the majority of cases you will not undergo a physical examination.
