Gemma Susca-Lyons

Solicitor
Background
I specialise predominantly in road traffic accidents resulting in serious injuries to vulnerable road users - including drivers, passengers, motorcyclists, pedestrians, and cyclists - who have suffered multiple injuries including serious fractures, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, severe scarring, and significant psychiatric injuries.

I studied at Staffordshire University for both my undergraduate degree and LPC, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2010. Since then, I've gained a wealth of litigation experience representing Claimants in personal injury claims including road traffic accidents, employers' liability, occupiers' and public liability, and some clinical negligence. Over the last 15 years I've dedicated my career to supporting injured clients.

As a Solicitor you have the ability to make a positive difference to someone’s life by helping them through the litigation process. Pursuing personal injury claims can be a difficult and a daunting process for any client, so it is essential that each step of the claim is explained in a clear and transparent manner and more importantly that the client’s concerns are listened to.

I also pride myself on my ability to secure the very highest level of compensation for my clients in all matters, from fast track to high value multi-track claims. I also do my upmost to be very approachable with all my clients.
Case Experience

Gemma successfully resolved a difficult case involving a young woman who was driven off a dual carriageway by two young drivers racing each other. Despite both Defendants having strong connections with criminal gangs, Gemma settled the case prior to trial in her client’s favour. This was a huge relief for a client who had understandably feared having to face the Defendant’s in court.

"I would like to thank Gemma Susca-lyons for everything that gemma has done for john Barlow on his accident claim. That happened on the 6 August 2022. And all gemma's hard work Gemma has done and letting us know how things have been going and keeping us up to date with everything. Such a lovely person to speak during the time gemma took over the case."

“I had a motorbike accident and had no idea what to do. The third party driver had disappeared leaving me in ’no man’s land. Gemma Susca-Lyons of Minster Law stepped in and guided me through a nearly 3 year journey of medical and physio appointments. She secured interim payments from the absent defendant’s insurer to allow me to be treated for my injuries and some towards my losses. After nearly 3 years I’m happy to say that Gemma secured a settlement which allows me to move on. Her professionalism combined with her kindness saw me through some very stressful times. Thank you so much Gemma. I highly recommend Gemma Susca-Lyons of Minster Law.”
