We act early to secure interim payments for what you need

Mortgage or rent payments, treatment, equipment and care: we request funding for the costs that matter most, as early as we reasonably can.

Support that keeps pace with your recovery

Your needs will change as your recovery progresses. Where appropriate, we can seek further interim payments throughout your claim.

It isn't a loan, it's your compensation, paid earlier

An interim payment is simply your compensation, released when you need it.

You won’t have to wait years for support

An interim payment is money you can receive during your claim, before it settles, to help fund your recovery when you need it most.

Serious injury claims can take years to conclude. That doesn’t mean your recovery waits. Wherever we can, we act early to secure interim payments, so treatment, equipment and everyday costs are covered while your case progresses.

What is an interim payment?

An interim payment is a sum of compensation paid to you before your claim is finally settled, once liability has been accepted or is likely to be. It isn’t a loan, it’s simply your compensation, paid earlier, when you need it.

Where appropriate, we can seek interim payments during the course of your claim, giving you access to part of your compensation before the final settlement is reached.

Wherever possible, we will seek an agreement that the payment is made without prejudice and on a non-repayable basis, giving you greater certainty and allowing you to focus on your recovery rather than financial pressures.

Interim payments can help make a difference by funding things like:

  • Mortgage or rent payments, so your home is secure
  • Rehabilitation and treatment costs
  • Equipment, prosthetics and home adaptations
  • Care and support for you and your family
  • Travel and transport costs

The amount you can access is reasonable and proportionate to the likely overall value of your claim. Any interim payments you receive during your claim will be deducted from the final total settlement figure agreed at the end of your claim.
