Background
I am an experienced claimant personal injury lawyer – acting exclusively for claimants for over 16 years. This experience gives me an instinctive feel for personal injury work – when to settle, when to go to trial. I completed my law degree in 2000, my training contract was in general civil litigation before going onto specialise in claimant personal injury work, I am also an accredited mediator. Before joining Minster Law, I worked for a firm specialising in serious motorcycle accidents. But I also have experience across the board, from employer’s liability, public liability, occupiers liability, claims under the Animals Act to complex multiple defendant RTA cases. My interest is high value, serious injury road traffic work. I have a proven track record of taking cases to trial and winning.
What are you most passionate about in your job?
I take pride in developing a close working relationship with all my clients. I try to achieve the best outcome possible for my clients and being able to change their lives for the better. The first steps that I take in any case is understanding what a client needs, whether that be getting an interim financial payment or help with private rehabilitation. Being able to empathise with a client’s needs is so important in getting them the results that they want. When you can make a real difference to a client’s quality of life it is a real privilege to have been able to help and support them on their journey.
What are your personal interests outside of work?
Out of work I am a mum to a toddler and a teenager who keep me on my toes. I am a keen amateur baker and a relatively new gym goer. I also like going for walks and tending to my garden. I am also studying for a GCSE in Sanskrit.
