Brendan Lowe

Serious Injury Associate
Background

I have worked in the field of personal injury since 2002, following completion of my law degree in 1999. I specialise in dealing with claims for seriously injured claimants, handling complex and high-value cases, particularly serious orthopaedic injuries. I joined Minster Law in September 2023 as an Associate and deal predominantly with cases arising from road traffic accidents, with a special interest in motorbike accidents. I also have extensive experience in dealing with complex employers’ liability cases for those injured in accidents at work and have experience in most areas of personal injury.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

Performing this role gives me the opportunity to help my clients through what is likely to be one of the most difficult periods of their lives. One of the key aspects of my role is ensuring that I am able to arrange rehabilitation at the very outset of the claim in order to maximise the prospect of my clients making the best recovery possible. While this is not always possible, early intervention will aid this process and also offer treatments that may not be available on the NHS. At the same time, while the final settlement will provide our clients with security for the future, it is important to ensure that they are provided with support at the outset of the claim during the difficult initial period. Seeing my clients make a recovery following an often long and protracted period, and being able to secure their financial future is very rewarding.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

I am a keen sportsman, and enjoy running, mountain biking and going to the gym. I recently hung up my football boots at the age of 46 but still watch Sheffield Wednesday as a season ticket holder. I play golf weekly and also enjoy skiing. I am a keen follower of the England cricket team, both home and abroad. Outside of my sporting hobbies, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
