Joanne Somers-Wells

I started work in the legal profession as a legal secretary in a high street practice in 2000. They subsequently sponsored my studies as a Legal Executive and I moved into a file handling role in 2002. After qualifying as a FILEX I went onto study the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School and qualified as a Solicitor in 2012. I moved to work for Minster Law in 2013 as a Solicitor in the Multi Track Team and moved into my current role as a Support Lawyer for the Multi Track Department in 2016.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

In my current role as a Support Lawyer, my main focus is to ensure client’s cases are being dealt with by the right people in the business dependent on the nature of the client’s injuries and the individual complexities of their case. I enjoy supporting my colleagues in the Fast Track Department in advising on case plans and providing my expertise.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

I love to spend time with my family, usually taxiing my boys around to their various sporting activities. I enjoy running and going to the gym.
