Ian Cummings

I commenced work in personal injury in 1995. Since then, I have worked exclusively in claimant catastrophic personal injury and clinical negligence claims, with a specialism in complex catastrophic brain injury claims. I have been a local committee member for the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum, who I have represented at parliament at a head injury charity reception in the speaker’s rooms. I am also a senior litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

To provide vital early intervention to obtain rehabilitation, care packages and suitable accommodation to allow the best possible outcome to be obtained for my client. As well as facilitating the rehabilitation, I also work closely with the family of my client so that they are supported and fully informed throughout the claim process.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family. I also enjoy football where I am a qualified referee as well as a level two coach. I am currently a coach with an under 12 team in the junior premier league.
