I worked as a paralegal in a specialist clinical negligence firm until I qualified as a solicitor in 2000. Since qualification I have broadened my personal injury experience to include road traffic accident claims - specialising in motorbike accidents, employment disputes and public liability accidents. I have also worked as a legal auditor and as an advocate in contested credit hire trials. In 2015, I gained Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) and in 2016 was admitted to Grays Inn. I have combined legal practice with management since 2003.

What are your personal interests outside of work?
I live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and enjoy walks in all weathers with my husband and young children. I enjoy listening to and performing music on the piano or in various bands and combos.
