Fiona Hughes

Chartered Legal Executive
Background

I joined Minster Law in 2012 and have worked in personal injury for 9 years and the areas which I practice are serious injury, road traffic accidents and motorcycle accident claims and public liability. I am a Chartered Legal Executive.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

I work within the serious injury department at Minster Law, predominantly supporting clients who have suffered serious Orthopaedic injuries. A real achievement for me has been securing a settlement of £125,000 for one of my clients who suffered a serious orthopaedic injury which lead to multiples surgeries and a prolonged period of absence from employment. Securing immediate rehabilitation and support for this individual helped identify in the early stages the significant need for intervention and further surgery which ultimately resulted in a successful recovery and return to employment. I take great pride in the fact that I can make a real difference to a victim of wrongdoing, it is a real privilege to know my work helps others.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

I enjoy hiking in my spare time with the company of my two dogs, exploring the outdoors and challenging myself with new climbs. In 2020 I climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks with friends and eight dogs in tow.
