Emily Taylor

I worked as a Litigation Assistant at a high street firm in Doncaster from 2017, working in their Personal Injury Department. In 2019, I began my Training Contract at Minster Law. I qualified in March 2021 and work in the Serious Injury Department for the first seven months following my qualification. I now work in the Consumer Law Department dealing with contract dispute matters.

What are you most passionate about in your job?

My favourite part of the job is getting to know my clients. Building a rapport with them whilst we work together to achieve the best possible outcome for their claim. Getting to know my clients helps strengthen my understanding of how I can help my clients and to ensure the process runs as efficiently and effectively as possible. I also enjoy having to think of different ways to deal with a certain issue and adapting my thinking to overcome that.

What are your personal interests outside of work?

Before I studied Law, I gained a History degree, so in my spare time I love to enthuse in my love for history. I am also appointed as treasurer for my school alumni committee, which holds events for alumni to connect and raise funds to assist with projects at the school. In addition to this, I also mentor current law students, as I think it is really important to pass on what I have learned going through the process myself.
