Everyone at Minster Law is committed to helping the local communities and collectively we raise thousands of pounds and donate thousands of hours to help worthy causes.

Our Improving lives in the community award category recognises those who have made outstanding contributions to local charities, and we’re pleased to announce the finalists of this award ahead of the annual awards ceremony on 10 November.

Marc Massey is “a positive role model and ambassador for Minster Law” who is committed to arranging voluntary events and fundraising activities. As well as being very active in participating in events himself, he also encourages others to support too.

As the chair of the Make A Difference committee, Amanda Parkinson always gives 100% in order to make the relationships with our charity partners really work. Amanda has really raised the profile of the Make a Difference team, internally and externally, constantly driving the volunteering and fundraising activity within the business.

Beverley Spence dedicates her Tuesday Evenings and Saturdays to Wakefield Riding for the disabled, which helps local children with disabilities to go horse riding. She also dedicates one night a week to the Scouts and is a prevalent member of the Make a Difference committee.

Stephanie Jackson was the driving force behind the Accumulator Challenge in aid of St. Leonard’s Hospice in York. She created a huge level of excitement with this campaign within the business and put forward some great ideas to raise as much money as possible for the charity. She was relentless and selfless and her peers describe her as “a pleasure to work with”.

Finally, Sarah Patten not only throws herself 100% into her work, but she strives to reach all her clients’ needs without fail. She also gives up her free time to help the York Headway charity and is a real inspiration to others.

Well done and good luck to all of our 2017 nominees! We’ll be announcing all the winners on Monday 13 November.
